the Saints' front office
One of, if not THE worst Front Office in the NFL.

Mickey Loomis is the NFL equivalent of Joe Alleva at LSU.

He doesn't care about Championships, only Benson's $$$$$$.

Tom Benson was a totally clueless owner and Gayle is even worse.

The Saints Super Bowl win was Fools Gold.

Just like LSU in 2019 when all the Planets Aligned in one season with Brady, Burrow and Aranda.

Same story with Payton and Brees. Loomis got lucky and was just along for the ride; a clapping cheerleader on the sideline trying to stay out of the way like Orgeron.....

Baker is going to get paid this off-season.

So saints talk would be in a meltdown that we would be giving a huge contract to an average QB who doesn’t make any difference to the saints season with Pete and Allen.

I can hear the crying about the salary cap from here.

It does`nt matter who the QB is if you don`t have the right
coach to take advantage of his skills. The Saints don`t.

Let’s be honest. 100% of us here would have taken Carr over Baker one year ago

Holy 20/20 hindsight. Carr was clearly better than Mayfield the last few years. The case for Mayfield was the salary but most on this board continue to insist the salary cap doesn’t matter

These are dumb threads. Baker was out there and anyone could have signed him. TB asked him to take a $4 million dollar salary on a one year deal. Plus incentives.

Lets do not discount what a quality OC can mean to a team. The Eagles lost their OC to the Colts and they were off most of the year.

I agree Baker was the better choice. But only in hindsight. Prior to both signing Carr had the safer track record. Baker just seems to be putting things together.

Half the board didn’t want us to overspend.

Incorrect. There were many on this board that hated the Carr contract.
