Like someone above mentioned Marcel Jones could be a good fit, and we also have Andrew Tiller

Did you bother to watch the 2011 game against the Rams. I will concede that there is no way he could play any worse than in that game. I guess the sky's the limit in his upside though.

He got injured in that game and tried to play through it. Pat McQuistan was his back up.

He seemed to do ok at RT this year until he got hurt, I think he has the talent but everytime he gets in the game he gets hurt it seems like.

I'll be a broken record here, but as some have said the success with our Oline revolves around Brees' awareness and movement in the pocket. The interior of the Saints' Oline is vastly more important than the Tackles, mainly because of his abilitly to step up when faced with pressure.

My main concern, as stated by Suntiger, is the fact of losing Kromer. I don't think it was a coincidence that when Vitt came back and Kromer went back to his Oline duties that the Saints' running game got infinitely better.

If he can't stay healthy which he has proven that he can't so far he does us no good.

I've been mentioning in most every LT discussion that 'Next man up' might be the plan with Brown. What we think, whether good or bad, is limited to the little exposure we have had to Brown. Therefore in this case I say it doesn't matter what I think.

Development of O Line guys might be the strongest position of the Payton era. Who thought dlP, who had been with 6-7 teams prior to the Saints, was turn out to be a solid center over ex-All Pro Kreutz?

If you're leery about the few reps that Brown has had prior to this season, remember Bushrod had ZERO regular season reps before being inserted as starter.

If it ends up Brown, Marcel Jones, Bryant McKinnie, or a new draft pick it's a trust the front office issue for me on this one.

Looks better at playing RT for 6-8 games before getting injured than playing LT before getting injured. JMO.

Just to reinterate this, we probably dont need a Jake Long at LT. We have Brown, we sign a quality FA (Not necessarily big name), and possibly draft a mid round Tackle.

Once again, the big name tackles in the draft will be gone by pick 10. I really dont see the Saints going anything but defense with that first pick.

I think most people still hold a grudge against him for that Rams game a few years ago. If it isn't that, they'd blame him for Ingram getting stuffed on the goal line vs. the Packers since he missed his block. Of course Ingram wouldn't have made it anyway but Brown was a popular scapegoat following that game.

I'm not sure if he can be the guy to step up and win the job though. He has had problems staying healthy.

Who knows? I thought we would've had a tough time when we lost Jamaal Brown. Payton's system and Brees quick release and underrated athleticism makes everyone look good. Our offense is such a well oiled machine, the LT only has to stay on his block for a couple seconds. Plus our running backs do a good job of chipping when we play the Julius Peppers of the league. I wonder what we'll do for backup tight end?

We'll find out shortly how much of the development of the O Line can be credited to Kromer, now that he is gone. All we can do is hope we have the same/better success in the future without him, now that he went to Chicago and paid a high price for our starting LT.

Can anyone tell me what Jammal Brown the "irreplaceable" "Oh my God Drew is gonna die since hes gone" "All Pro LT" has done since leaving us 4 years ago?

I can...... NOTHING!!!!
Because Drew and our interior line made him look better than he was.

We can put Chad over there be fine, Yall need to stop freaking out.
