The cheapest one

*not Dalton. Wasn’t paid as a starter

I'm curious. Was anybody else really in serious contention to sign Carr other than the Saints?

I know there was some Jets rumor floating around on ESPN but what did that really mean?

They ended up signing Aaron Rodgers later so it couldn't have been too serious, whatever was being reported.

Carr’s team had scoring drives with under 2 minutes the last 2 games and the defense lost it.

On Sunday, Cousins was 1/4 for 5 yards on his awesome game winning drive

I don’t care if you hate Carr or think Cousins is better, both are fine assessments, but at least be fair

They’re all about the same imo.

Cousins - best on paper
Baker - most upside
Carr - rollercoaster
Dalton - a little underrated

This is a hard one to figure out because originally the Raiders were going to trade Carr, but Carr has a no trade clause which means he was allowed to pick the team he'd get traded to. Raiders let him talk to teams. I recall he had a few meetings, don't recall if there was any smoke with the teams or just the teams kicking the tires. He then had his dinner with the Saints, and then suddenly all of the news went quiet. Rumor was he refused to allow the Raiders to trade him because he was pissed and did not want them to be compensated at the expense of his new team. Shortly after being cut, he signed with the Saints.

If I recall correctly, once he was cut it was a foregone conclusion that he would sign with the Saints, so why would any other team show interest

If everything was equal I’d take

Baker (mainly for being by far the youngest with any kind of ability)

Cousins

Carr

Dalton

Bryce

I hate Bryce as a prospect but I’d take him over Carr. At least there’s still hope he could develop into something, Carr is who he is

And to think we would have been better off with Baker or Cousins
