Why would you want to fire him? He is doing a good job tanking.. could have kept Allen to be 2-15 though

Rizzi has been one of the bright spots. The dude is passionate and he cares, which is more than I can say about someone like Loomis.

I hope Rizzi leaves here and finds success. He was handed a complete piece of shite and managed to make the remainder of the season somewhat watchable. More so than the skid with Dennis Allen ever did.

I have a hard time thinking we should hire the coach that thinks Jamal Williams should be returning kicks. Williams is the biggest plodder on the team and Rizz has him fielding kicks?

Also, don't think we should hire the guy that doesn't know the clock is running going into halftime.

Rizz is a good guy but is not ready to be head coach in the league. He doesn't bring anything new to the Saints organization. I hope the Saints do a real search and quit promoting from within. The whole team needs a purge from scouts on up, not a continuation of what has been going on.

The fact is there aren’t very many good head coaches in the NFL. Good HCs are not leaving jobs where they are successful because every team is a potential Super Bowl contender with the right roster…there is no elevation like in college. Good assistants who have never been HCs are a crap shoot every time because there is a steep learning curve to being a HC. Good assistants who have failed as a HC are wary of their next HC attempt because another failure could be the end for them in that seat. Interim coaches very rarely work out and are mainly used to run the team until a permanent replacement is found.

The Saints are either going to keep Rizz or recycle a former HC. They are not going to land any big fish given their situation and Loomis.

Cleanse the entire building and start over fresh, 34-0 is unacceptable for an interim HC.
