re: When you are waving recent 4th and 6th round picks, you’ve had a bad draft and poor GM

90% of 4/6th rd picks dont make active roster, so not sold on bad picks but maybe could have made better selections but they probably would not have made this stacked team

4th rd should be a roster mainstay. However, drafting and evaluating QBs is the hardest thing in sports.
6th round not so much. The life expectancy of a 6th rd is very very short

Drafting QBs after the early 1st is typically inefficient.
I can't imagine drafting a QB after the 3rd is anything more than a waste in terms of historical value.

Payton has always thought he could defy norms. It made him great but also popped up negatively, at times.

Payton was historically bad at evaluating QBs and LBs in the draft.
It's crazy to think how he would have likely been a colossal failure in Nola if we weren't gifted Brees by the incompetence of the Miami medical staff.

Book was a fourth round pick and Jackson was a sixth. Someone needs to be held responsible in management if the Saints wants to return to the Super Bowl and not mediocrity.
Yea. Because every draft pick should work out exactly like fans think they should and if they don't there should be hell to pay.

God I fricking hate this board during the season.

Not sure if this is a troll post or being serious. But how many damn 7th, 6th, 5th, hell even 4th round picks end up panning out league wide. These picks are literally needle in the haystack picks.
