No one is trading for Carr, especially now that he's put out that he may have an injury that prevents him from playing much if at all in 2025.

All of this was just bad business decisions on the part of Carrs camp.

I don't want him on the building because you saw first hand how toxic it got for him in LV when they benched him. This is setup to end exactly how it ended in LV. Going to have to cut him and best to do it now.

He no shows for mandatory things fine his balls off.

Didn't mention a trade but for some salary help.
During camps and preseason games when people go down there are opportunities some times. And if he's hurt and not playing in camp and preseason it's all moot. He plays for no one.

Really surprised... Two pages of comments and no one has brought up that he's already answered this question... he isn't getting surgery... Unless there's a problem with rehab(normal)

I don't really see anyone picking him up as FA. He's pretty much done.

Doesn’t really matter. No effect on Saints plans to release him.

A qb somewhere will go down during camp so maybe a team will pay a little of his guaranteed and we pay the bulk and move on. I can dream too damn it.

It’s a good thought but Cousins is also sitting out there and the Falcons will be trying to do the same exact thing.

Zero incentive to do it now. We save nothing on the cap. If he plays maybe you can get something in a trade if he’s healthy. If not put him on IR and cut him next year as a post June 1st cut.

I’d wait till the last possible minute so all of the starting jobs are filled to do it.

Designating him as a post june 1st cut definitely makes this team better because he will be gone. It also frees a couple of million on cap space but that's not why you need to get rid of him.

No way in hell you want him in your locker room or worse yet in a uniform actually playing for you ever again.

The hope of getting a late round pick for him should be the last thing on your mind. This team is better off with him not being associated with it any longer. Every minute this drags on hurts the team.

It's irrelevant.

You're not making this move to free up cap space. You make this move to move your team forward and to end the shitshow.

Placing him on IR does not put him in the locker room or playing again. Any move will be financially driven.

No it doesn’t. We’d take a huge cap hit this year. That’s why it wasn’t done. Saints wouldn’t have been able to sign free agents this year.

They have to do a post June cut for next year to spread out the dead money.

He’s not what we hoped for, but he’s not some big cancer. He woukd still easily be our best qb on the team.

He went .500 last year with a pretty shite roster.

Wasted opportunity by him tho. Instead of crying and being disgruntled, and o laying these games, he should be telling the team and media and everyone how he’s going to play balls out this year and have them regret drafting a qb so high.

That’s the kind of attitude he should be taking,

If we cut him after June 1st the cap hit goes from ~19 mil to ~20 mil in 2025 and the dead cap for 2026 will be ~49mil.

You guys talk like you know what’s goin on but you don’t.

Cutting Carr after June 1st is 100% doable and should be the only option.

You’re never trading him for anything including cap savings. Only way to save cap money if got Derek Car to agree to a renegotiated contract which he will not do to give up money. Neither would I and neither would any of you.

Anyone else find it funny that the raiders kept him away and now we’re wanting to do the same.

The raiders did it strictly because they were moving on and would've owed him money if he got any kind of injury at the facility.
