What will our defense look like now?

We are losing some key players.
Jenkins
Brown
Kwon
Hendrickson
Any others?
Drafting a CB and LB will help.
But I see us taking a step down.
Not a good time when our offense will be going through a major change.

Let's wait to make that decision after free agency & the draft.
People need to stop acting like we're screwed. This is still an above average roster & we still have a lot of additions to make.

Granderson steps in for Hendrickson
Granderson was 3rd in sacks per snap for guys who played less than 500 snaps and had more than 4 sacks.
You add in Baun who can play all over the formation
Brown is an easy replacement
5 picks in the top 133. Draft or trade for talent

I still think we end up bringing back Brown, Jenkins and/or Kwon at reduced salaries. Or worse comes to worse hopefully just Brown and we draft Horn to be our #2 corner.
I think Ganderson will fill in nicely for TRex as the 3rd down pass rusher. We will have to fill in some holes on vet min contracts this year.

Granderson has 6 sacks, 11 QB hits, 5 TFL and 2 FF in only 406 career snaps over his first two seasons
Hendrickson had 416 snaps through his first two season - 2 sacks, 9 QB hits, 2 TFL, and 1 FF. He actually didn’t eclipse 6 sacks until 800 + snaps into his career

The Saints D has taken a BIG step back.We lost one of
our best pass rushers, our best run stopper,and a good
D lineman in Rankins. Look at the D last yr when Brown
was out last season,we couldn`t stop the run.In any
league thats a problem.We have been looking for a pass
rusher for yrs, besides jordan,
we finally get one and
now hes gone.
The Saints with a new QB and loses on the interior DLine
will have problems winning 7or8 games.

You act like this will be the roster that we go into the season with.
We're not anywhere close to what our final roster will be.

That would be outstanding if we had a HOF QB on offense.
My concern is if we drift back to a normal sean Payton defense that sucks and we don’t have a QB.
It could get very ugly.

People must not think much? We could actually gain more young talent and be better. In on 1st 133 themway we draft could be awesome. Plus we will still pick up some well priced free agents.
We weren’t good enough last year with those very guys so let’s go a different route. I’m good how things are shaping up.
