12-4. That might secure a first round bye given the parity this season.

13-7, as long as we win the last one.

I think we end the regular season either 12-4 or 13-3.

After the past two years, and even the past fifty or so, my expectations or a bit high, and quite unrealistic, but here goes.

Saints 19-0.

Patriots 18-1.

Brees wins league MVP.

Brees wins Super Bowl MVP.

Finally he falls into the conversation of the greatest ever to play.

Our Saint.

A record that gets us into a first round bye in the play offs.

Some don't understand all the things that need to go right in order to consistently put up 12-4 or 13-3. 2017 Saints recovered because the miracle happened during a build up year where no one expected them to do much. 2018 they were the top team with everything going right most of the season and everyone expecting a Super Bowl appearance. Getting fricked by the NFL in that fashion is no different than losing a Super Bowl and coming out hungover the next year. It's all mental and the Saints have a tendency to collapse in these scenarios. Not to mention the division will be more competitive this year.

Pretty much what I’ve been preaching. On paper, we have a better team than 2018 but not only will we need to get lucky with injuries again but also need our players to stay hungry. You gotta remember, we’ve played Four more games than most other teams. That shite adds up physically and mentally. The Bucs are going to be way more competitive as will the Panthers. Falcons will always always play us tough. We have a sneaky tough schedule early with a few tough tests later in the year. This is going to be a grindy type of season where we might not secure a playoff bid until the last two weeks

Anyone saying any team's "floor" is 13-3 or 12-4 is either an idiot or not a regular NFL fan. It takes a huge amount of luck for a really, really good team to have a record like that. Those records or a best case scenario for a great team who doesn't get injury-bitten too bad. Is it possible for them to have a record like that, sure! But to say anything less than 12-4 is a failure is being stupid.

I'd be "okay" with us making the playoffs, and I think missing the playoffs would be a sad potential send-off for Drew

Not what you're predicting.

What's your floor of what this team should achieve in your opinion?
I'll go with the Patriots model-
good enough to win the NFC West (whatever that may be), and then turn it on for real in the playoffs.

Clarify- I'm more satisfied with 11-5 and making/winning the Super Bowl, as compared to 14-2 and losing early in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, 14-2 would be great in the season, but if we don't get to the big game, it's going to be a disappointment.

It's time for this team to "get there", plain and simple.

If we stay healthy and we get good production at Center and TE then we will win 12-13 games. We have lots of depth in the secondary, OL and DL (once Rankins comes back). Those are three positional groups where you HAVE to have depth and we do.

However, if we don’t stay healthy and Cook busts and we have a revolving door at center I can see where we might drop 7 to 8 maybe even 9 games. I honestly think something in between happens where we stay somewhat healthy, Cook plays well but injuries at OL keep us from the 1 seed and we end up 10-6 or something like that and that’s me being pessimistic. It’s so hard to have sustained success in the NFL unless you play in a dumpster fire division for a decade like the Pats.

I’m not saying we won’t make the playoffs but it wouldn’t shock me if we didn’t just because it’s the nature of the NFL. Every year teams who have good coaching, good rosters, get knocked out because of injuries. That’s our only issue. That and Center and Tight End. We have a tough schedule but fully healthy, behind a good solid center and good production out of Cook and we can still get 12-14 wins but often times none of that shite goes right and not everything will go our way. It’s going to be a tough season I think both for the team and us as fans. I think it’s gonna be up and down all year long.

Then again, I’m still sullied by the NFCCG so I’m going to be naturally negative all year

Okay they are in a weak division but, thats not the reason they are in the hunt year in and year out..Just last year alone, they manhandled some of the best in the NFC and AFC..including the two hottest teams in the AFC.beating the chiefs TWICE.The patriots know how to flip the switch..they do not whine and complain about a loss...just when you think you got them beat, they break your heart every time..The Falcons know what im talking about...
