Gregg Rosenthal is a homer obviously
He is a pats fan but went to college at Tulane and has a "soft spot" for us

I like the picks, but I don't think our roster is an a position to trade picks away or take project players.

Really more if Landon Turner can stick
no way he sticks....not athletic, can't change direction and is soft 50% of the time.

There's reasons that Kiper is on tv and not in a teams FO
Would be really interested to know if Kiper gets any monetary kickbacks from agents for pushing certain players on his "Big Board."

You see that draft and UDFA, Amos?
Pretty good, huh

Is there any type of chemotherapy that would get rid of you?

Of course. And I don't know if he did one this year but Pollian did a free agency grade guide for a couple of years and you could see the whacked out grades were players of certain agents.
Charles Brown had a B grade after leaving us for instance.

Your homerism won't allow you to be objective.
that sounds exactly like my reputation on this board

The Saints absolutely blew this draft
naw. it may only end up being a C+ or so but i'd imagine at least one of the DL pans out and thomas is going to be a stud for us. bell? we'll see. so in the realistic "worst case" scenario we get 2 impact players and that's OK
now we have to crush the UDFA b/c we need depth b/c our front office hates accumulating draft picks. that's always the fatal flaw

He obviously gets off on riling people up on this board but everyone keeps responding to it. So why would he stop trolling?
Is it that hard to just ignore his posts/threads?

Seriously, hear me out. There is an entire faction of people who are literally subconsciously BEGGING for the Saints to be bad again. I'm not sure why. I have a few guesses, but I won't go there.
naw the saints have been pretty bad at team building and criticism for those errors was legitimate
the saints FO is clearly not that great (and hasn't been for a while) so it makes more sense that people would have been critical over the past 5 years rather than heaping praise upon the FO, no?
now the "praise gap" is easily explained, b/c the fans over-praise the moves out of fandom. that's the exact opposite of your postulate (As a general comment)

Jeff Ireland was pretty good last year.
I think you see his influence again this year in some of their moves.
I'm cautiously optimistic that they've gotten the picture and are doing it right to try and build over the course of 3 years.

i'm cautiously optimistic but it's a "wait and see" kind of thing as of now (esp changing the defense again)
Posted on 5/1/16 at 10:01 am to SlowFlowPro
This Defense makes more sense to me on paper. But we'll see.

should hopefully have a good DL and a varied secondary with a lot of pieces. anthony needs to take a step forward in a new system (remember he's a guy with a reputation of needing lots of reps to "get" a system, so this may be another rookie year)
Posted on 5/1/16 at 10:08 am to SlowFlowPro
Yeah but SAM is a much easier transition than MLB.
Posted on 5/1/16 at 10:10 am to Fun Bunch
the combination of byrd, bell, and vacarro is interesting. in passing downs i can see bird and bell way back in coverage and vac up at the line in a "honey badger" role. we need 2 outside corners and we SHOULD have that (finally). we need cam j to get a pass rush and that could really work

Also as a play caller and MLB last year Anthony had to think before the snap, make adjustments, and read and react after the snap because of his position.
A lot to ask of any rookie, yet he still did well.
At Sam he just goes out there and hits, blitzes, or covers.
