Salaries for kickers has risen in recent years so 2mil+ isn't crazy. Hartley is far from best kicker in the league but he is a consistent kicker who has made the most important kick in franchise history. That fact to go with that he is a Payton guy means he stays.

As much as everyone hates the Falcons, you have to admit, Matt Bryant is one of the best in the business. He'd be a great addition, although, I think he's under contract.

We draft the female kicker in the seven round she can kick 65 yarders .

Will be forever greatful for 2009 postseason but i have never been a fan of Garrett Shankley. Almost always seems to miss at the most inopportune times and they are always 35 yds and in.

Would love to bring in a vet guy like Phil Dawson or draft/sign a guy like Hopkins out of FSU

Hartley has been great but I agree time to part ways. I like Nick Folk as a potential leg to bring in during camp. He signed a one year contract cause he didnt want to be in the debacle of an organization they call the Jets

He didn't miss 1 kick within 35 yards this season.

I'll refer back to the minimal research I did on his kicks compared to "higher quality" kickers.

Career:from under 40 yards.
Hartley 86% 2.6m cap hit
matt bryant has a 92.6% 2.9m cap hit
connor barth has a 92.9% 2.3m cap hit
gostkowski has a 90.5% 3.4m cap hit
vinatieri has a 89.9% 3.4m cap hit
janikowski has a 94.1% 5.1m cap hit
jay feely has a 90.3% 1.75m cap hit
akers has a 93.2% 3.6m cap hit
kasay has a 93.7% 1m cap hit (last contract)
carney has a 90.8%

he's cheaper...but we need him to improve.

Damn, Seabass must've taken too much GHB with this salary, at least looking at the names above him...

Hartley holds a special place for everyone because of the 2009 NFCCG, but he has missed some weird ones in the years since. He's not going anywhere though.

why wouldn't you include longer kicks too? Making a 55 yard field goal is worth just as much as making a 30 yarder. I would say it is more valuable due to field position
