What are your thoughts on Marcus Davenport?

Some minor rumblings from absolutely no reputable sources that Saints may be trying to move up to get him.

I don’t think we’ll be able to grab him tbh. He’s the #2 pass rusher and someone will probably reach for him earlier than what we can trade up for without a round 2 pick.
He’s a project player so I would think we wouldn’t be that interested given we’re in win now mode, but I’m not in the war room so who knows.

He's one-dimensional right now, but he makes you gasp when he sacks the QB.
Right now, he is so mediocre at stopping the run or moving laterally in run support, you just have to accept you are drafting him to disrupt the pass, while crossing fingers he develops more with coaching.
Still, I'd heartily fist-pump the selection.

Links? Like the veteran free agents we signed? Or the veteran qb we resigned? The playoff games we played in last year? Yeah we’re looking at the future but you’re crazy if you don’t think we’re still trying to get another ring before Drew retires. If we trade up it’s gotta be for a QB no doubt, but without a second round pick it’s gunna be really hard to.
