I would definitely feel better grabbing a WR high in the draft rather than taking one in FA.

If we can get a real, quality WR1 to anchor the WR corps for the next decade (like Colston has done for us since 06) that would be nice.

I'm not going to complain if we sign one, though. As long as the needs are addressed.

Branden Albert and Eugene Monroe are both upcoming free agents this year at T. Then Alex Mack, Dominic Raiola, Tim Barnes, Max Unger (I think) at C. Would love any of these guys. Raiola has fallen off a bit but he'd come at veteran minimum most likely and is a heads up player w/ some attitude.

Can someone plz explain to me why CB is up there on everyone's board? Lewis, Greer, prob, white.... That's a solid 4-man secondary next fall I'd put up against anyone else's 4-man esp with the experience white is getting.

Oh, and our pass defense is one of the strengths of this team, no?

wouldn't it take 15 picks to draft three o-lines? 3lines X 5men per line=15 players taken!!

We've lost 6 Pro Bowl linemen in the last 5 years and have done very little to replace them. OL has to be the #1 priority this offseason.

Kelvin Benjamin should be our first round pick if he's still available.

2nd center
3rd pass rusher
4th tackle
5th corner

I'd put OLB behind OL and WR.

Edit: And probably DB. Greer's career is over, imo.

We get Victor Butler back next year, so he'll be a bonus. We have something like the 2nd most sacks in the league this year, so an OLB isn't high on my list of needs. Any position on offense can stand to be improved. Specifically on the line and at We though.

And I don't understand this thinking with picking a certain position in certain rounds based on need. This team never does that. They almost always go BPA.

thats pretty bad. i don't want to hear from the pumpers describing how they were "a product of"! why do we seem do be the team that ditches more productive, promising or pro bowl players than any team. as long as loomis and sp continue to operate the way they do, we'll continue fluctuate in performance/productivity and legitimately contend for the sb every 3-5 years.

I honestly think that a big time WR will fall into our lap in the first round. There is just too much talent at the position this year to not cash in upon. Plus OL would be a lot easier to pick up in FA. If we were to pick up an OL in the draft we would need to develop him a while, not saying this is a bad thing; just that DB9 is about to be 35. DB9 can make WR better (ala Meachem), he can't do the same with an OL.

Edit: With all that said we will pickup 2 OL in the draft IMO. That will bring more depth and competitivness to a somewhat lack luster group.

Didn't want to start a new thread on this but I'm watching the Pinstripe Bowl and Brandon Coleman, WR from Rutgers is looking really good so far. He's 6'5", looks pretty fast and has good hands. He just tied Tim Brown's Rutgers career receiving TD record with 20. He's biggest knock seems to be staying healthy, but the commentators were just talking about how he used the long layover between games to get healthy, and is now feeling good. Looking around the internet, he is projected to go around the 3rd round. I wouldn't mind him there at all if we don't grab a WR in the first 2 rounds.
