That was more because of Sean and Drew

The o line got destroyed all game.

That was Sean Payton getting way too cute, Taysom Hill was the best player on the field that day, should have never left the field. Also our guards were completely outplayed that game.

But Sean Payton is a genius who invented football.

This was the biggest reason. Plus Sean got cute. Not sure if it would have mattered but Lattimore had to leave the field on the play that put the Vikings at the goal line at the end of the game. I was in that end zone, it hurt

TE pushed off in the end zone on the game winning td

Vikings announcer Paul Allen that day: "Ladies and gentlemen, I never thought that I would say this but thank God that Drew Brees has re--entered the game."

That was just typical Saints games where they blew it against trash. One thing that stood out vividly in that game was that Taysom was beginning to take over the game. It was 20-17 and Taysom had just popped off a huge run to get in the redzone. We were in prime position to take the lead. Ole Sean pulled him and put Brees in who fumbled right after. I also remember Peat getting punked to. Instead it went to overtime and in typical fashion with the NFL sticking it to the Saints one more time. They lose off an OPI by punk arse Kyle Rudolph after the refs refused to review and just walked away. Brees should have retired after that. It was clear he was done. Brady likely was headed here and it would have been us holding a trophy instead of that Tampa trash.

Aside from 09, Payton & Brees repeatedly choked in the playoffs.

After 2009 Payton was an all-time choke artist as a coach

Did Brees choke away the 49ers game in 2011-2012 when he had 462 yards and 4TDs?
Did he choke away the Minneapolis miracle game when he throws 3tds and brings us back to take lead all in 2nd half? Is it his fault Marcus Williams can’t make a simple tackle?
Did he choke away the Rams game bc he made the right read and threw the ball but his player gets annihilated in the most bogus no call of all time?
Telling me you don’t watch football without telling me you don’t watch football

Great list but you forgot Jared Goff.

Nah, Payton choked it away. Brees was great in his prime but his defenses were so bad they overcame his 400+ yard throwing efforts which is pathetic in the playoffs. Brees lost it his last several years here and definitely was the reason they lost the RAMs game. Noodle arm skipped it to Thomas on an easy TD pass to seal that game up.
