We dont need to pursue Carr or his type/pay just to bridge us to our next Franchise QB.

We can get plenty of mediocre QB's for half the price.

I would argue that Carr would immediately be the 2nd best QB this God forsaken franchise has ever had.

Aaron Brooks was borderline magnificent until Haslett made him play through a shoulder injury when we had a more than capable, healthy Delhomme on the bench.

Seriously. Check the splits pre and post shoulder injury. Dude was good.

I don't feel like I'm going out on a limb here:

Carr > Brooks

Brooks had the ability to make some "wow" plays but there was no consistency.

Carr's leadership ability is really what differentiates himself from other veteran options out there.

Leadership that has earned him a 63-79 record and two winning seasons. Being a good dude and talking about God doesn’t make someone a good leader or winner.

The winner of the NFC South makes the playoffs. First round home game in the playoffs.
The Saints were right up there in contention until the last couple weeks of the season, with a 'bad' QB situation. We ultimately lost out to Tampa, who had Tom Brady.

Brady is gone now. The division is totally up for grabs... I don't think there's anyone CURRENTLY better than Dalton who will start on the other teams (unless they pick someone up, too. And there isn't a lot of options to get someone).

You put Carr on any of these 4 teams, and I think that's the new favorite. I think the Saints may be the best setup for him, even without Kamara and Thomas- a solid defense, a good O Line, a young WR expected to become a #1 guy (Olave), and another young WR who's shown he can make big plays (Rasheed). Add in a competent running back that will get you 3-5 yds a run, and this team is in the postseason.

I'd rather sit around there, than be flat awful and HOPE to get a stud QB in the draft. That doesn't always work. Tua hasn't saved the Dolphins and might have to quit if he keeps getting hurt; Fields isn't elevating the Bears. Mayfield and that USC QB are bouncing around the league already.

you are completely underestimating the instability of the Raiders organization.

Also, Davante Adams specifically wanted to leave the Packers and their HOF QB to go play with Carr.

What other free agent QB has better leadership quality than Carr?

Because they were like best friends in college. Nothing to do with leadership.

Yeah you're right, he's a terrible leader, just a good friend.

Ima let my friends know I’m their leader and I’m great at being their leader.
