Allen is a shite DC. Payton as head coach consistently has fielded defenses with bad DBs. It’s kind of amazing actually.

When your offense can't stay on the field for any extended amount of time because you constantly go: pass, pass, pass, punt. Your defense tends to stay exhausted

Yeah Davenport is a big miss at this point. Solid run stopper but he can’t rush the passer. We have trouble getting pressure outside of Cam Jordan.

Good ole' Dennis allen he's raised our defensive run stats, but he rarely blitzes, and let's suck crap QBs attack us. We'll never win a Super Bowl with him.

You can get away with a good secondary and an average pass rush, or a good pass rush and an average secondary. The Saints have average at both for a while. If you don’t have the personnel for the rush you have to get creative. Dennis Allen is not creative.
