If Sapp had "confirmed" someone who already hadn't shown his arse toward the Saints (the refusal to shake hands, etc), I think people would not have been as quick to believe.
With Shockey, I wouldn't even be mildly surprised.

As much as I don't like shockey, this. He knew it was going on. How else do u get revenge on a defense that's trying to injure your QB?

You know how many people you can go back in the history of time and apply that logic to.
I don't know why Rafael Palmeiro would blatantly lie to Congress, knowing he did PEDs and would be tested for him. But he did.
Sapp may not even be technically lying, he could be saying it based on something someone told him, and it is incorrect.

I doubt it's Shockey. He was on the Panthers for Cam's first year. And I don't think he would rat on his team when we were actually on good terms. I still say Charles Grant.

Sapp could be 100% wrong. But he had no reason to be in this at all, much less throwing one of his own under the bus. He wasnt trying to save his own arse.
