How about some Dominic Rhodes action?

I wouldn't mind them bringing in Bomar.

I'd imagine they keep Bomar and cut A. Woodson. IMO

this is the players who could possibly make this team thread. Palko already in the other cut thread.
BTW I didn't realize he was the QB for Larry Fitzgerald in college. Fitz couldn't help him out in AZ.

John David Booty? I dunno, what's the consensus?
Names are piling up- Brian Brohm now, with Harrington gone I'll start a #3 QB thread for them like the TE thread. Keep other positions here.
-------------------------
Safety Brian Russell was good enough to start all 32 games for the Seahawks over the last two seasons.
He wasn't good enough to make the 2009 roster, however. (And Seattle fans would argue he wasn't very good all along.)
The seven-year veteran has plenty of experience in the league and should be attractive for another team looking for depth at safety.

Ryan Fowler Titans cut
What happened to him?? GOTTA still be better than Marvin Mitchell
maybe Bernard Pollard- The safety, who started 31 games over the last two seasons was the most surprising name on the Chiefs cut list. The safety position has been in flux during training camp, but it was believed that free safety Jarrad Page was in more trouble than Pollard, a 2006 second rounder, when it came to cut day.

B. Pollard has been good in the past. Suprised to see him cut. Is he better than U. Young? Don't know. Just think we should be looking at TE, QB & LBer more than anything. IMO

LB D.D. Lewis Seattle- When Seattle re-signed Lewis last year, he was considered Seattle's top reserve linebacker, someone capable of playing all three spots among the linebackers. He started for Lofa Tatupu at middle linebacker for a game and later replaced Leroy Hill at the weakside linebacker after Hill was injured.

No takers on Fowler or Lewis? Could be more of keepers than Brooks.

Fowler good enough for Rex Ryan Jets
How bout LT Langston walker let go? Walker started every game in 2007 and 2008 for the Bills. He becomes an unrestricted free agent.

Everyone seems kinda asleep on new players now. Remember the clause about after the season begins that contracts are not guaranteed brings moves into a different light. That said, here's another name per PFT-
Less than 72 hours before kicking off the 2009 season, the St. Louis Rams have dropped the guy expected to be their starting strongside linebacker.
The team released Chris Draft on Thursday after he declined to take a $380,000 pay cut, according to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Draft was set to make $1.225 million this season, so the cut would have dropped him down to the veteran minimum.
Draft, 33, was the third-oldest player on the Rams roster, so the move isn't surprising after an offseason that saw many veterans sent packing in the wake of Steve Spagnuolo's hiring. The timing of it is a bit surprising, given Draft's role on the first-team defense.

There's just not alot out there on Def. that excites ol' G.W.. I think he wants players this close to season that really know his system. esp. in the L.B. corp and our secondary is looking much better than most thought could in such a short time. I thought the two positions we might look at would be center(thin here) and D-line, but once again not much on the wire. Going to the game sat.
