After decades of calling the play-by-play for New Orleans Saints games on WWL Radio, Jim Henderson has decided to step away from the microphone.
"It’s time. This is a good year to go out," Henderson explained after 30 years. "I will miss our Saints Radio broadcast team; I will miss calling the games. But, I’m looking forward to experiencing Saints football purely as a fan.”

Who in the world will replace him?

I would assume Sean Kelley has the inside track.

Doubtful since the Pelicans and Saints schedules conflict. Plus the Pels radio isn't on 870.
I can see a guy like Tim Brando getting an opportunity. But I'm guessing

I REALLLLLLYYY hope Sean Payton or someone can convince Jim to saddle up for one last ride with Drew next season.
Even if we don’t make it to the SB, there will be so many big milestones for Drew to call.

The NFCCG call... on the third it's good, he's holding back the tears.
then you hear Hokie let out a sigh of relief. frick. ONIONS.
I'm going to miss his "set the stage" commentary the most. What a freakin' pro.
Congrats Jim - We'd be much more heartbroken if you didn't get a ring.

forgot about Brando - when Kelley can't call Pels, Sallerson does it. so it's doable.
I wonder if they go outside though.

This sounds and is overly dramatic, but I feel like a part of me just died. He’s the best play by play guy of all time in my eyes.

Not hearing his voice will be a shock for sure.

It's been hard with the digital cable and all that stuff to sync up the TV and the radio in the past few years which I hated because jim is the GOAT.
