This dude is a pro and a about as good as they get. He needs one week of practice and one series in preseason to be ready for MNF.

He's got time and we are going be dominant this year.

Payton tried to skirt saying it directly, but he said he had a space on the xray in I guess what you might call the lisfranc. He really didn't want to call it a lisfranc injury but it is.

So he had preventative surgery to keep the gap from growing, but it was growing (the doctor thought with rest it might heal itself but it got worse) and he'll have to have a corrective surgery at the end of the year to try to fix it. If they went that route this year he may not have played at all.

That's why I said he'll be playing with the pain all year. And he is a trooper so he'll fight through it, but it's something that is going to affect his play.

I would imagine we're going to see big drop off in his production if that's all true. Warrior for fighting it out but let's hope it minimizes his impact on the field.
