We're known for signing big name FAs and having them fail miserably. Hopefully with him still being young and hungry, he'll ball out.

With all due respect if you can't supply some research showing that the Saints are any worse at free agency acquisition than any other teams than you are full of shite. If you just cherry pick the failures and don't show the successful acquisitions and can't produce success and failure rates for all the other teams than you have no credibility. I'm sure you have the numbers to back up your claim though. Right?

You forgot TE Cody Fleener (Garbage)

Yeah, I was excited when we got him too. He had all the athletic measurements, just not the desire

Would have loved to see him Wayne Martin Joe Johnson and Darren Howard in their prime for a few years. Unfortunately green Bay and Dallas happened

We are paying him slightly more than average starter money. If he gives a slightly above average production, can be a leader on this team, and a face of the franchise then we'll be just fine.

The 2 that I still think were terrible were Byrd and David. Byrd couldn't get healthy and David couldn't cover.
I think you're wrong on both or rather I disagree with you on both. Byrd got healthy alright, he just couldn't cover and showed it. I really think he just took the money and ran because he didn't give the Saints anything for what they paid him. He milked his injury for as long as he could, and when it was time to play because he couldn't fake it any longer with his contract almost about to expire, well, he simply performed terribly. The Saints signed that clown to a contract worth around 50 something million I believe, so, he def got paid.

I might be 1 of the few on here that thinks poor Jason David just got a bum deal with the Saints. I think he was a pro bowler or won a SB with the Colts as a starter, the last 1 I think. when they signed him from Indy, but he played in a cover 2 or some type of zone coverage when he played for Indy. He was never a man-to-man cover CB, but that's what the Saints made the poor guy and he was just toasted playing that way. Smh He just didn't have the size at 5'7 something like, and probably weighed 140 something, 150 something at most. He was a mismatch for much bigger WR's playing them in man coverage, and they just abused him.

Brandon Browner should be on here with Byrd, but you don't have him. At least poor Jason David tried while he was out there playing giving good effort and all. Brown did none of that, he just stole money like Byrd. They may have had the same agent. Lol
