Post season doesn’t count in determining who wins the Heisman. It’s why I said 2/3 of the season and not playoffs.

Mendoza will go and the predraft manufactured discussion of Mendoza vs. Simpson will look silly.

Never said Mendoza wouldn’t go first. They already supposedly gave him their play book. It’s a done deal.

But no one knows where Simpson will go. Like I said, I couldn’t believe teams took Penix and McCarthy in the top 10. I would t be shocked if he did go top ten or drop to the 20s. No one really knows.

Are we talking about Heisman campaigns or the season? Because you said

Simpson was outplaying Mendoza most of the year and then fell off a cliff near the end.

And it feels like "the year" should include the postseason, when Mendoza played his best football. Surely the people doing draft evals for teams are including the postseason and not stopping at the Heisman ceremony.

It's time for the hot takes during the dead period between the Combine and the Draft.

It's almost like people are trying to drum up views and clicks.

I think you're probably right, but really bad teams often make bad draft decisions.
