I used to think concussions and player safety were football’s biggest enemy for its future.
Now it’s obvious - social media is the biggest threat to the longevity of the game. This sport used to be the last bastion of old school American values. The NFL is the next NBA at this rate.

The NFL is full of guys that are amazing at sports. Now they think they are philosophers and scholars because they make money playing a game. This was inevitable with social media.

Just using the logical part of our brains for a second, could it be that this happened because comments went from, “Drew, those comments were tone deaf and insensitive”, to, “I hope someone fricks your wife”? Or, do you jackasses really believe “shut the frick up” is the same as “I hope someone fricks your wife you cuck”?

What did I assume? I just repeated what someone literally said on this thread. It’s pretty clear the negative comments are more angry and aggressive now than they were before.

And let’s be honest here. The majority of them have an educational level of around a 6th or 7th grader. They got pushed through HS and college for their athletic talents. And they out here telling the world how to act on Twitter??
