I believe he played RT because Dillion Gabriel was a lefty therefore protecting his blindside. Still you are correct. He’s battled some injuries but has enough PT to show he’s really talented. I can’t justify spending #14 on him but if you do trade back he’s a guy on the radar, late 1st/ early 2nd.. Unfortunately you don’t get many “no-doubters” outside of the top 15-20 picks and that’s being generous. Fautanu is our guy, a no-doubter imo

Been seeing a lot of mocks recently that have Fashanu falling to us at 14. Would be a home run pick

Yea maybe try reading the OP. He's the most versatile OL in the draft and can play anywhere, teams are definitely interested in him playing inside as well. I think he can do more than just hold his own at LT. Is he a hair undersized? Maybe, but the game is getting faster/smaller so who knows.
6'4 317lbs w/ 34.5" arms is not small imo. Especially when you look at the build on this guy. He's a solid 317lbs. Not 330 with 30 lbs of titties and gut.

He’s a solid high floor pick that you know you’d get a starter somewhere but it might not be at tackle. You have to get at least one true no doubt tackle early in this draft which is why I’m more about JC Latham, Fashanu from Penn St., Guyton and Mims. My dark horses that I absolutely love are Graham Barton from Duke and Jordan Morgan from Arizona. If we could somehow land one of those two guys at 45 and maybe get Brock Bowers at 14 if he falls you have to take him.

yeah, Brock Bowers will be a beast out in the open in the NFL, but yeah this kid Fautanu looks like a very solid OLineman. Even though he's a tad short for a OT slot, he can still play it because he's quick enough to do it, he's just fast with quick feet. I believe he can both positions with no problem, if he were at guard, he'd be dominant with his size, power and speed.

Pretty sure with Kubiak's scheme, quick / athletic tackles will be needed.

I feel like these guys have more question marks than Fauntanu. Won’t argue Latham because he’s a freak and worth the pick. The question isn’t whether Troy can play LT. He’s got the skills, length and versatility to do so. Will he be an all pro dominant lock down LT? Maybe not but I’m confident he can hold his own. And if we want to move him inside because penning figures his shite out, I have no doubt he can dominate their. We chased the prototype LT dark horse when we got penning. Don’t make the same mistake twice. Get the no doubter. The guy with right mentality who’s the best football player.
