Everything is looking up for this to happen. C'mon Mickey.

depends on what we would have to give up for him. we are on re-build mode. need our picks right now.

Absolutely not. Saints timeline is all wrong for giving a 30 yr old pass rusher the huge contract he wants. That's not "getting younger". Not to mention the draft compensation we'd have to give up.

Can't do it. We've got to get younger. That doesn't happen when you're stuck with an aging 35 year old unproductive DE on a large contract 5 years from now.
It's better if we don't.

No
The Saints are on the right track to clean up the cap and rebuild.
Tray's time on NOLA is over.
The most retarded thing th Saints could do is trade away draft capital to take on another ginormous contract that they will have to start reworking and pushing into the late 2020' and into the 2030's.
Tray's been great since leaving NOLA but you have to ask yourself if he's that great why isn't KC locking him up?

He'd flourish in the Saints style D
Cam said he wants him

I'm sure he does.. The last thing the Saints need to do is take on another enormous contract

So, He'd probably flourish in any defense currently. It's not about the talent it's about making sound financial decisions for the future.

So. Cam's on his way out the door and we are still saddled with the ramifications of kicking his contract down the road into the late 2020's.

Great. Let’s overpay for an aging player that a dude at that tail end of his career wants.
