Mahomes had wrist surgery before he was drafted. AC joint injury he played through at TTU

They were speculating his patella injury would need surgery with a 6-9 month recovery. Some doctors said risk of reinjury remains without surgery.

And tua only had “surgery” on his ankle sprain so he try and come back sooner

Is this a real question? One of the guys already has a couple of NFL seasons under his belt and a SB. The other couldn't even stay on the field for 12 games against college players and hasn't taken a single snap in the NFL. A complete unknown.

Mahomes wrist injury was his left wrist (non-throwing) if I recall.

We all know the big concern is the hip. Without the ability to check him out with your doctors, that is a huge risk. Not many players have long careers after such a violent injury to the hip (and not sure if any QBs have been through that injury and had a successful career). Very risky.

Certainly a big risk, but the reward may outweigh it depending on where he falls too

It seems most think they avoided further complications by getting to the hip injury As soon as they did.

So you aren’t afraid of his injuries. Got it

I mean, I'd call it in a concern in the back of my head but has he not shown his durability and ability to go through the grind of a long NFL season? Am I supposed to pick the college kid with already 5 surgeries who hasn't played a single game in the NFL over that? The question still makes little sense.

Love will go down as one of the worst picks in saints history if they go for him.

You are either made of glass, or you aren’t.

I doubt Love will be off the board by 10. He won’t make it to 24 though.
I think:
Burrow-Cincy
Tua-Miami
Herbert- Chargers
New England- Trade up for Love

And it is really hard to gauge Tua and his injuries. Yea he had surgery on both his ankles, but those were kind of elective to help him get back on the field sooner. IMO the hip injury was a direct result of not being ready to play based on his ankle injury and the pounding he took playing LSU.

I’m not going to pretend to know where his hip is and his projected outlook. I would necessarily call him glass or injury prone though. Ankle sprains are pretty common and the hip was sort of negligence. Truth is we, as fans have no idea how his hip is looking; however I go back to giving him a year to learn and recover is HUGE. Unless they come out and say his hip is shot and unrepairable, I would take a chance on him.

if I was reasonably convinced that he could heal correctly, I’m taking that shot. I would give up our first this year, our first next year, and Kamara or Armstead. Where would that get us in the draft?
