I think the only way he ends up in New Orleans is in a Zephyr uniform

i want a big nasty DT, or a quality LB that can cover a TE in space.
We especially need DT because we'll have Stanley Arnoux coming off IR as a possible OLB. I think that we really need to go DT in the first round, unless we pick up a high quality free agent.

I was wondering how long it was gonna take till someone said something about this.

He's actually worse than horrible IMO and would be the absolute worst pick the Saints could make

I was always a big Hester fan, but Gerhart is more talented and faster. He won't be a great pro, but certainly a pretty good back. Having said that, there is no way the Saints need to draft him.

And no on Mays. I would rather Nate Allen.

Did anyone not see him freaking truck that ND player on his way to the endzone? I get a little tired of automatically assuming he should go to FB... I/We have seen him pull away from DB's....

yet another stereotype... white guy that carries the ball = FB..

I'm pretty sure his college work a least gives him a shot at playing time at RB

Toby Gerhart....

He reminds me of Rob Carpenter that played for the Giants back in the 80's. Both in looks and running style...I think he will have a decent career in the NFL

Doesn't translate? Jacob Hester? When did Hester run for 200 yards THREE times in a season? This kid has back to back 1,000 yard seasons, 42 touchdowns and ZERO fumbles! Gee, let's see. Guys like M.Turner, B.Jacobs,J.Stewart,R.Williams, etc are all bigger backs having success in the NFL.This kid has it all. Toughness, smarts, decent speed, good hands. I'd take this kid in a hearbeat. No disrespect to Thomas or Bell, but this kid can certainly be a asset to our team. Some are comparing him to a sane, young John Riggins. Uh, say what you will, but I like the sound of that.

Still don't understand LSU fans' hate of USC. Mays is a stud and you're just a blind hater to think otherwise. Personally I want a playmaking OLB.

well he is a white runningback, so I understand why our fans want this runningback. Plus its not like we don't already have 3 good runningbacks.

What does "white" have to do with it? I don't give a shite if your polka dotted, either you can play or you can't. This kid can play.

Actually, he's quite a load, tough to bring down and can really push the pile. Im not saying he's that slow. I think he runs a 4.55 which for his size is very respectable. Im just saying he's EXTREMELY slow to the hole. You have to consider the holes he's running through and how long they stay open. Stanford's got a nice running scheme. I like everything about Gerhart other than the fact that he's slow to the hole. Looks like a mid 3rd rounder to me.

It has nothing to do with LSU. Horrible may be stretching it but he is vastly overrated. Youre just blinded by his physical statue, instead of his production and play on the field. You were probably also a fan of Tebucky Jones.

FWIW, Gerhart is goin to definitely be a RB in the NFL not a FB.

I think Gerhart would translate into a good receiving/rushing fullback

How can you judge that jacob hester doesn't translate to the pro's?
He is stuck behind LT and Darren Sproles
