Take a knee on the NFL. The Saints knew what he was when they signed him.

The first amendment applies to the protection from the government putting you in jail or fining you for what you say, not from people on a message board.

How you don’t know this is insane.

The fact that you somehow interpreted I don't is doubly insane. But I'm smart enough to know that you did not. You're simply intentionally missing my point. I'd expect nothing less.

You don’t have a point. People are allowed to not like his speech and openly comment about it; nobody is advocating for government interference. So bringing up the first amendment was kind of stupid.

Still missing it. It's cool though. Life is easier that way :)

I think you are under the impression that you had a profound thought that you shared, and I’m sorry to be the one to tell you that you didn’t.

He needs to decide if he is a professional football player focused on a championship, or a cable news social justice spokesman.

The team doesn’t need these distractions.

I has a dream last night that Drew Brees kicks his arse in the locker room before the Saints first game. He kicks Jenkins' arse in front of coaches, teammates and Ms. Benson. Nobody tells me to shut the frick up. I'm Drew Brees one of the greatest football players ever to play on and off the field. The winner of the Walter Payton award you dumb arse. If Drew decided to do this don't you dare think that #27 wouldn't be in the fight of his life. Drew Brees is one of the greatest competitors I have ever seen. He has never quit on the field no matter what the score is. He was a state champion in Texas high school football, and he lead the Boilermakers to the ROSE BOWL. Jenkins needs his arse kicked by #9.

No. I’m not.

If I go on social media, call my coworker racist, and tell him to shut the frick up, I get fired.

Who tf is Malcom Jenkins? Who tf is Drew Brees? You can suck their asses or pretend their hot-takes on politics actually fricking matter because they get paid to chase a ball around for drooling pot-bellied white guys, but I sure af won’t.

He can do both. He was extremely vocal about social justice issues especially with the Eagles and they won a ring.

It’s only a distraction if the players let it become one, and like it or not, Jenkins clearly has a lot of support in the locker room.

You think he has support in the locker room? That remains to be seen. Most players want to win within the team. I would think every Saints player would take a Super Bowl win every time if it meant playing without Jenkins. If Jenkins divides this team during the season he will be released in a hurry. I think you will be surprised that not everyone is behind him.

Based on the the social media comments by other top guys on the team, yes. What evidence have you seen otherwise? None of them came to Drew’s defense and shared similar responses as Jenkins.

Eagles won a SB with Jenkins as a team captain all with him being extremely vocal about social issues. Not sure why you think it can’t happen here.

Disagree. Evidence points that they do

Not if he’s making the media rounds, attacking his own teammates and causing negative and unwanted attention to a team trying to focus on one last championship run. He can have his causes, but I don’t recall him calling Wentz or Foles a racist and telling them to stfu prior to that season. I don’t remember him appearing on the daily show, cbs, cnn, etc blasting them either. And sadly, he’s lost even more credibility because he won’t call out DJ.

You are trying too hard to justify this because you agree with all of it.

This is a trite, naive take that looks like it was written by someone who watches too many sports documentaries.
