Thoughts on Tommy DeVito?

I hate him, but it has nothing to do with his play nor the team he plays for. It has more to do with what his people did in New Orleans in the early 1900s. However, if he was our QB, I’d support and believe we have found a gem. I don’t know how long the Giants can ride him before he comes back down to earth, but he’s a fun story in the NFL at least.

He'd suck if he was our quarterback. When he first got in he looked like he was scared to throw it past the line of scrimmage. Daboll has worked with him and now he's way more comfortable. We wouldn't have done shite with him and he'd still look like he did the first game.

I want him to light up the Saints like Al Copeland's house during Xmas.

Not sure what you are referring to, but why would you hold him responsible for what his ancestors did over 100 years ago?

What’s the history behind his people? He might be worse than Carr, but much much cheaper.

Which Italian restaurant would you recommend his parents eat tonight?
Domenica? Irene's? Paladar?
I'd go with Dominica given it's location.

So all black people should hate white peoples right? Even though it wasn’t either one around then?

Mosca’s, take a hike to get there, but that’s the old mafia spot (Carlos Marcello). It’s still really good.

My immigrant ancestors had their place of business burned by blacks and whites that were upset by the new family owned cheap competition for business. Some of these immigrants were lynched.
Years later, my great grandparents had their restaurant burned down because they would not pay protection money and allow other activities on their premises. The business became a parking lot for a supermarket.
Local established businesses did work on my family and later organized crime. I held no animosity toward any of the descendants. I don’t expect to be paid any reparations.

There used to be a really good pasta spot in the WHD on like South Peters and Calliope. I guess it's gone now, it had a numerical name.
I haven't been to Moscas but that sounds great

"You have a vision in your mind of what the ultimate New Orleans-style Italian restaurant should be. It's a dusky, mysterious place basking in permanent moonlight, where the Creole-Italian food is gift-wrapped to satisfy a range of pleasures, many of them guilty," Anderson wrote. "That pretty much describes Eleven 79, former Louis Prima manager Joe Segreto's clubby restaurant in the lower Garden District."

When “The Family” ran New Orleans, anyone robbing tourists in front of their hotels, car jacking near businesses, or shooting into crowds near the French Quarter wound up scraping the bottom of the Mississippi River. Crime was bad for business and tourism. Trouble was waiting off the beaten path and easily avoided. Given a choice, I’ll take the old Italian/Sicilian methods to today’s crime killing a once great American city that vacationers and artists and actors couldn’t wait to visit.

Neat fact - when Rummel traveled to play Don Bosco in New Jersey in 15’, he was their QB.
I remember watching the game on a live stream.
