They should just trade Thomas as that’s what he wants anyway! For those who coddle Thomas he didn’t do as the team’s doctors wanted him to do in the beginning of this injury. So now it been a whole season and he’s still hurt time to cut bait and be done with him! If he does play this season he won’t make it half the season! He got his $$ and ran!

No offense to Davenport but I’m so glad to be done with drafting these random D league prospects with potential who can’t cut it day in day out

It’s always funny seeing some idiot who thinks somebody as competitive as Thomas is faking an injury.
Dude hasnt played in over a year and a half for an ankle injury.
Remember when JPP blew his hand off? Ya, only missed 8 games. Dude is missing half his hand.
Idiot

He also moved as far away from Nola as possible, shut off all contact with this team, ignored phone calls from his own head coach / management, yet continued to get paid.
Any regular person would have been fired over just one of these offenses. He just doesn’t come across as a guy who cares much about anyone but himself.

How does anyone have any confidence that he can actually play football anymore? I don’t. If the ankle injury is so weird that it is sidelining him for almost 2 years and he keeps getting hurt everytime he tries to come back how could anyone feel confident that he would contribute.
The difference between an elite WR and an average WR in the NFL is razor thin. I think y’all need to temper your expectations when he returns. He may never be the same.

He was home in LA where he and his family are from. How is this different then when Brees used to run to SD every offseason?

I agree with most of this, except the last part. All of that happened in the offseason when none of these players get paid form the team.

He had a right to seek a second opinion, and the team respected that right. His 2nd opinion was wrong, that shite happens all the time (how many times has the Saints medical team misdiagnosed or been wrong about treatment) They gave him room to try a more conservative route; he fricked up by not letting the team know he was behind in his therapy/rehab

Very few regular people have employment contracts. Furthermore, even fewer have guarantees in their employment contracts that would cripple their company's ability to compete if they terminated the employee for no call/no show during a time when there was no work going on.

This is comical when you factor in that he tried to play through the injury in '20 because he knew it was Brees' last year and MT wanted to do everything he could to help. Another ironical point is the team doctor's cleared him to try to play through the injury; but insisted he get surgery and everyone wants to question why he sought a different opinion.

The dude played throughout the season after sustaining the injury. You conveniently left out that fact.

I didnt leave it out, it doesnt really have anything to do with him not returning. Unless, you are saying he should be back already since he was able to play with the injury so how bad could it have been.
