Not necessarily enthusiastic about it but I’m definitely interested in seeing how the team performs and if it does end up going bad will it finally be enough to move on from Allen.

This is the first year in almost 20 years with a new offensive coordinator. I’m interested to see something fresh on offense.

I have little faint in this offensive line. I think it will be the downfall of this season. McCoy is good and I think Fuaga will be fine. Ruiz is average. But we have massive holes at LG and RT.

I can’t be excited for Chase Young. He has done nothing in the league except bounce around. I hope Breese can take the next step. Granderson is our best DL but in honesty, he's just above average. The rest of our line is ehh at best. Davis is older and Lattimore is disgruntled. I’m interested to see what Gay brings to the table.
While the defense can be good, they lost us a few games last year too. And I don’t think they will be that much better this year.

Our kicking game is a joke.

I hate our head coach and can’t wait to be rid of him!

Our schedule out the gate is tough. I wouldn’t be surprised if we only win 1 or 2 of our first 8 games. A 2-6 start is gonna bring a bleak, bleak time to the Dome for that 3 game home stand in November.

I still love the Saints. I still want to win.
But I’m not hopeful.

Dennis Allen is going to be the first NFL coach fired this season. How can you be enthusiastic?

Went to Detroit game last year

That was the first time I saw fans getting really apathetic with the franchise post 2006. Depressing to watch

I consider Shaheed, a healthy Kamara, and Hill all to be exciting offensive players and while it's fair to say Olave may not be "exciting," he's awfully good. For me, it's not the absence of exciting players but rather the absence of the unexciting but indispensable OL that haunts us.

We just have very little home run hitting talent. Without the threat of many big plays it’s going to be a tall order for us to sustain a ton of drives with our line.

I will never forgive those sub human garbage refs for not throwing the flag. And I will never trust another referee.

Meh

We're in a different phase again. We had Brees and the constant playoff runs for a decade or so, got a Super Bowl. Always in contention. It was great.

When he retired we knew it was going to suck. You maybe hoped Payton could work some magic on Jameis, that didn't work out. Then Payton left and we were truly in the weeds, with Carr being the modern day version of Jim Everett (but not even that good).

At this point, I'm finding excitement where I can get it. I think we got a keeper in Rattler, at least something you can build around. I want to see competitive play, a rebuild of the O Line, and some gathering of young talent the next couple years now, and hoping Rattler is the guy in '27 or so. Maybe by then we'll have a good young team around him, and maybe a good young coach.

The Saints were 5-2 when Jameis tore his ACL.
