Why is it that you only come around after a loss?

this...not to mention if we don't turn the ball over four times, they probably don't still score 26

Hell no they wouldn't score 26. Saints just didn't play smart at all today with those turnovers. They better be pissed off next week in the super bowl rematch minus Manning. That being said, the sky ain't falling. Its the NFL which stands for Not For Long when it comes to winning straks. This ain't college. Out!!

listen, you can live in the everyone gets a blue ribbon world if you want, but i don't....

sorry, but i don't think the season is a "success" if we fall short of a Super Bowl.... would it be nice to win the division... sure.... would i be happy if we win a playoff game? yes, just as anyone else would....

but, again, and i can't stress this enough... we have 4-6 year known window of opportunity with Brees as a franchise QB in his prime.... after that who knows... we could go back to another dark age of Saints football... anyway, during that window, we should be competing for championships EVERY YEAR.... if not, then yes, figuratively and literally, the season is a waste, as it is one less season from our window of opportunity...

again, you can set your standards as low as you'd like... as for me, i'm not going to apologize for having extremely high standards...

True, but our defense is having trouble taking the ball away. In this league your defense has to force turnovers. Simple as that. We're close to last place in the takeaway department vs our Super bowl run we were +11 at the end of the year.

to remind the sunshine pumping, circle jerking crowd that posts here regularly of the reality that we aren't as great as the consensus thinks they are....

i love the saints.... i really do.... have loved them for a long time, and i will continue to love them for a long time, but nothing pisses me off more than when i see black and gold glasses wearing fans blantantly ignoring all kinds of warning signs and continuing to say we are the best team in football for no other reason than that's the team they pull for.... it's absurd...

i mean if you want to ignore the warning signs, go ahead... but don't mad when others who don't ignore those same signs point it out... it's pretty evident that our defense is crappy.... and defense wins championships..... i think you see where i'm going with this....

Wow. I must have struck a nerve there. Just a simple question bro. If you think I am always positive, watch a game with me I assure you I get rowdy. I'm aware that we have our flaws but the turnovers killed us against the Bucs. Not creating very many on defense has also hurt us.

it wasn't to you, specifically... at least not most of it...

i know that everyone sees the shitty play... some just choose to act like it's nothing, while some of us, think its a warning sign... i myself would rather resign to the fact that this is probably not our year due to our shitty defense so i'm not tragically let down when/if we do lose out later...

i guess it's my coping mechanism before i get really disappointed, but i just really hate that bullshite fake blind faith, as if they are trying to say "look at me, i'm a better fan than you, because even though the chips are VERY stacked against us and there is really no hope, i'm still believing, as dumb as it is, no matter how insane i sound".... of course, that's embellishing a bit, but you get the idea... i just wish that more people would be realistic, rather than fanatic, as if it were a crime to be realistic when talking about your/our favorite teams....

No one has blind faith. We just hate the fricking retards that only show up after a loss and claim the sky is falling.

We're 4-2. Its highly likely we'll be 6-2 going into the Tampa Bay game at home.

We don't suck. Sorry.

This isn't about the Saints, it's about control. and you nor the sunshine pumpers have any in matters regarding Saints play.

Listen, every year, whether we're piss poor or excellent, we're competing for a championship. This team is not going to be content making it to the wildcard round and losing it in the first game. There are short term goals that are constant, and long term goals that are constant. You take it one step at a time. The NFL is too damn tough to look at the big picture all of the time. One of the short term goals that is constant is to get into the playoffs. If you make it to the playoffs, you have a shot. Just have to get hot at the right time. Look at GB last season. The best way to accomplish this goal is to win your division. So, the best thing to set your sights on right now is to win the division. Win the division, get dome field advantage, get an extra week off to get healthy and ready for divisional round.

this doesn't compute.. if we are piss poor, we wouldn't have a hope for a championship... and i don't think the team in it's totality is piss poor...

i assume every year that the saints will win the South... that's a given when i'm talking about the state of the team... i expect them to win every year, so when i post about the future, you can assume that i mean we win the NFC South... however, if we win the South and lay an egg in the playoffs, our season sucked and we failed....
Home field, this season, is out of the question, unless Rogers goes down.... but i'm making a prediction about the future with what is CURRENTLY going on.... and currently, Green Bay is tearing it up, has the #1 seed, and we are somewhere behind them, with a defense that i don't think can carry us to where we need to go...

like i said, i think by some people's standards, we'll have a good season, win the division, make the playoffs, and maybe even get upto the NFCCG... however, even if we do all that, and don't get to the Super Bowl, to me, it's a failure....
