This team is in a really bad spot

-No first round pick in 2023, or 2nd round pick in 2024
-A very bad cap situation in 2023 that cannot be fixed without making future years also worse for the cap; Certainly very little flexibility to make additions in the offseason
-Terrible coaching staff that, if fired (which they should be), will make the organization look like it's quick to fire, which won't give confidence to potential hires
-Decent roster; Not bad enough to guarantee a top pick next year even if DA returned
It's just bad all around. The team can't really even think about the future until 2024, and likely even further beyond that realistically once we finish extending next offseason...

I agree with everything except for the idea that we can’t be bad again with DA as the coach. He is wretched. If we really REALLY want a shot at Williams, we should definitely keep him around.

I didn't say we couldn't be bad; just not bad enough to get a top pick (I'm thinking like 1-3)
It's possible but this team still has too much talent IMO to go 2-15

I love the Pels too but I've been hurt by that franchise so much that I won't believe it until we're 2 rounds into the playoffs
