Right, and in all your prescience I'm sure you predicted 48-16 from 2017-2020 between the 2016 and 2017 seasons, right?

Give me a fricking break.

You have flooded Pels Talk recently with incessant rants against BI, CJ, Zion, JV, Herb, Willie Green, Griff, etc, making doomsday-only predictions, attacking past decisions & calling for trades, cuts & firings. Now, I notice you only discuss negative aspects regarding the Saints brass and roster. I am not saying you can't. I'm suggesting you shouldn't, for your sake. Constantly being a miserable frick is just not healthy.

You left out Gayle.

To be fair, I haven’t said much about Herb. He’s not the issue.

I’m not miserable, far from it. Just realistic after watching this team for 35 years.

But you’re right. Not sure why I’m posting since I really dont give a frick about the team or NFL anymore. I’ll stop.

When I stopped caring I started seeing things more objectively. My breaking point was the first half of the cardinals game last year.

I hope I’m wrong. I don’t want to be right just to say I told you so. The city doesn’t have shite going for it and the saints are sometimes the lone bright spot. I hope they exceed expectations and kick arse.

I have slightly higher hopes for the Pels.

So it's low IQ to think this team sucks?

I mean at this point yeah.

We were basically an average team last year, so crying we suck when we are definitely getting better is kind of low IQ buddy.

This aged like fine wine. I know you called me out on a few of my takes that likewise made the downvoters look pretty stupid….

Look, I get it to some degree. Fans are fans and when you're fully invested you can't see the forest for the trees.

Like take A&M fans. Every year they think it will be different because of this or that. I don't follow them at all and I know they're wrong. Why? Because Jimbo has a proven track record of 8-4. I don't need to know the ins and outs and being distant gives me a clearer insight.

I pulled way back from the Saints and look at them dispassionately now. Ask any other team's fans what they think of Carr and Allen and if they'd want them.

I think we know the answer and it was obvious last offseason.

This team doesn't have top talent. And it has bad coaching. So why would I expect them to win even a crappy division?

It's not about being a genius or having amazing insight. It's about looking at history and understanding the probabilities.

Historically, bad coaches continue to be bad most times and marginal QBs rarely elevate 10 years into their careers.

I’m not disagreeing with you on coaching staff but this team has damn good talent, which actually serves your point better. All we can go off prior to season is past performance.

Ram, Kamara, MT (I get the injury though), Demario Davis, Jordan, Lattimore are all elite talent. McCoy, Olave (prior to season) , Taysom, Shaeheed, Adebo and others are all pretty close. There’s enough talent to be a great team. We just needed Carr to be average

Eta: I get Jordan and Davis are aging but they played well last year. This thread was before the season
