I lived through it. This franchise at this point has that feel. Awful on field product.

We are going to be bad for a few years. At least 2-3. It’ll take that for DA to get fired and they need a 1st to get a QB

Brees carried just as much of the load if not more.
With Payton, we are now saddled with his baggage of injury prone draft picks, trading up for said picks, and no QB.
You don't give away picks to "win now" when you don't have a franchise QB.
