On teams playing the New Orleans Saints.

2 penalties for 10 yards.

The New England Patriots, ranking at 1st in the league, received 83. The next closest was 60.

Your New Orleans Saints also rank #1 in defensive holding yards penalized against.

It's not fixed though. I promise

As a poster points out below, offensive lines also hold the second least in the nfl against our defensive front, according to nfl officials. Not only are they allowing people to hold to give opposing qbs more time, they are calling defensive holding bc our dbs eventually have to. Amazing stuff

Check the yard difference on pass interference called against us versus for us

LINK

We lead the league in yards against and are last in yards gained

We are only 4 yards from being the least in yards gained by offensive holding penalties for our opponents

It sounded like you were saying we had 2 holding calls all year while New England had 83. After seeing the link, they had 17 calls for 83 yards. The average team had roughly 8 calls for 37 yards. There are going to be some outliers but it doesn't surprise me that New England benefited the most.

306 yards given up on pass interference vs 12 gained is insane.

Is that real? Jesus Christ! Who's trying to fight Goodell?

I kept wondering why we don’t ever get any defensive penalties our way

This is dumb. Why would the nfl be fixed and for whom would it be fixed?
Goodell and the patriots hate each other. The Jags haven’t been this far ever and the eagles and Vikings generally fail.
What motive would the nfl have for fixing something when a jags vs Eagles super bowl would be the lowest watched super bowl ever. They make billions regardless.

Hell, Brees vs Brady would be a dream scenario for the nfl. Smells like baby arse sour grapes to me.
Take the lumps.

You’re right. The exact same commissioner didn’t suspend our head coach for a season or anything. Now that would be blatant

I have thought about this all year. With as much as the Saints have traditionally relied on passing I struggle to recall many defensive holding or PI that go in our favor. Is it because receivers get more separation? Doubt it.

Thanks for info

I’m not saying the games are fixed. I do think games can be highly influenced by the officials (see the absolute bullshitly called game against your falcons on TNF).

When you see the that type disparity in the stats for us vs. our opponents, it is something that should be questioned, if nothing else to understand why there is that large of a disparity. In fact I would venture to say we have been on the wrong end of that disparity for the last few years. We seemingly never get those calls, but seem to get them call against us exceedingly more often.

The real issue is that the saints gave opponents 42 automatic first downs off of penalties.

Also the saints had 5 offensive pass interferences called against them. That is the same number of defensive holding and defensive PI combined in their favor. These numbers are staggering

I mean I hear what your saying but every teams fans thinks the calls go against them. I do think the NFL needs to make ALL of their refs be full time and have some sort of accountability but I don’t think the saints lost more games than they won based on the refs.
I think the saints vs Falcons was a wash this year as both games were called in 1 teams favor. Not saying that’s right of course but just that over the course of 16 games, penalties eventually even out. One team may hold on O more than they get D calls or vice versa.

But yea, they need to do something with the refs to help appease the fans.

Youre literally retarded.

Thinking the calls go against you is different than linking to a factual database that PROVE more calls go against the Saints in THE MOST subjective penalties in the nfl than any other team.
