There is a reason the news isn’t breaking and won’t for several days

Watson has likely picked the Falcons. That doesn’t necessarily mean he will be a Falcon. Matt Ryan is getting 40 million dollars this year one way or another. The Falcons might have to have to beef their end of the matt ryan trade just to ditch his contract. I think Watson picked Atlanta but I also think there is still a possibility they can’t reach a deal.
At the end of the day, the Saints cannot risk backing out of this and the Falcons not landing a deal. Winston is on stand by. He doesn’t want to learn a new system.

This has been said like 20 times in every other post about Watson.

Everyone is bitching saying we need to back out. That’s completely foolish.

Yeah, but did we need another thread to say it?

Fans are impatient af. Even if we don't know what it is, Saints FO has a plan and a contingency.

for so many whos whole world revolves around this decision not one of you watch or listen to the news at all.
watson released a statement and said hasnt decided yet, he will think about it over the weekend and make his decision next week
as most of us presume, in the most likely case, its to give falcons extra time, because they cannot meet the salary requirements needed to be able to sign him at this time even though they agreed to the draft picks houston required to get.

The Falcons may be trying to get Ryan out of there, but it doesn't do anything for how he impacts their cap. He eats up a large part of it, regardless if he's there or not. If there's a hold up, I think that's it.

Right.
It means that the new league year began with Ryan having an unprecedented cap charge of $48.66 million. The new deal would have dropped his cap number by $12 million, to $36.66 million.
Under the restructured deal, trading Ryan before June 1 would trigger a cap charge of $55.5 million for 2022. Under the current deal, a pre-June 1 trade would result in a cap charge of $40.525 million.
