I'm just sick of you acting like a neglected woman when someone forgets to put something in a thread you started last month.

Nice read.
I think if Smith takes close to vet min that would give us Smith Jordan Hicks and Johnson at end.
Pick up fairly cheap Butler and Phillips to go along with Tez and Galette at OLB.
Harper restructures I think at S.S..
Use what little money we have for a FA and 1st rounder on LT and FS. Whatever combo depending on Bushrod.

Spencer seems like a player that will get too much money and not enough production. I think we can cheaply replicate him with Galette.

Sorry about the thread derailment. I just feel what blues did is disrespectful. I said my peace and I'll drop it.

Anyway, I think we're going to have to bargain shop this year. I would like to have Anthony Spencer. Not that he's great, but he did get more sacks last year than anyone else on our team, and he's a good run defender.

here lies the problem. he's been an underproducer for all of his carrer and then has one good year last season. with the money he will command, it's not worth the investment and the risk. let him be someone else's expensive mistake. if he were to come at a reasonable price, then i would be all for signing him. he won't though

I think the little money we have should/will be spent on a LT or a FS. I like the value FA players Blu has pointed out in Phillips and butler at OLB.

I have a feeling that any money we actually have to spend will be on Offensive Line and signing cheap depth on D. Starters on D will come from what we already have, bargain shopping, or the draft.

We are simply in to bad of a cap situation to make any significant moves. And our OLine situation is a lot worse than people think.

After we get the next $15million cut to get the cap then Mickey can cut another $10-12mil to afford Spencer

Do I sense a bit of sarcasm there???????

On a serious note, it's becoming more and more obvious that the cap will have to be increased to $150-$175 million. The money is there and the performance on the field is going to start showing some stress fractures with plugging holes with low end players.

Problem is it won't change till the owners start seeing marketly less profits.
