No. Payton’s unquenchable need to have every goddamn pass play go for 60 yards will. Defenses are just playing deep and making the Saints throw short. Instead of just taking what they are given, Brees has to spend 8 seconds desperately looking for a deep ball that isn’t there only to finally settle for a shorter pass that is now covered.
Get the ball out quickly and draw the defense up. The deep shots will be there eventually
