it is a double edged sword. Have our CBs get burnt like last year because of our blitzes or try to contain the yardage by playing zone and rushing 4

Find film on a team that does it right and see what work and what doesn't work. Then scheme to find similar players with the talent for those routes.

There's a medium there. You don't have to blitz like Gregg Williams' dumbass, but we need to help our shitty D-line get some pressure on the QB.

no. the problems started well before the saints ever took the field this year.

the nfl sought to give the saints the death penalty. And they've succeeded.

0-3. Good things don't happen to teams that go 0-3. Blues is going to have a tough time finding optimism this week.

I was calling Gregg Williams a dumbass, hence the use of an apostrophe, dumbass (that one was directed at you)

At least for this season it seems so. It is possible to dig themselves out of the tremendously deep hole, but the odds are definitely stacked against them.

How the frick do you give up an 18 point lead?

They held them to 6 field goals. How the hell does our offense not score in the second half is the better question. Plus the defense basically gave our offense one of those touchdowns

How anyone can blame the D for that loss is beyond me.

They were on the field the entire second half.
They were tired and they still only gave up one TD.

ALL the Offense had to do was score a field goal.
Or not give up a fricking safety.

And they couldn't do it.

Good thing we paid Colston and didn't franchise Nicks.

when the strongest part of a team is fricked up, the team as a whole is fricked up. we can't rely on this defense, not yet at least. Offense has carried this team, and it's COMPLETELY obvious that without Sean Payton, this offense is not playing very well. at all. They're definitely not playing good enough to win imo. Some may disagree, but until they improve, this team will continue to struggle.

Look guys I didn't even watch it didn't have to I listened to it on the radio while painting a horse trailer. Nobody is to blame here other than possibly the guys responsible for this atrocious defense. Then again this whole team is bad starting with Brees and the offense.... But look all that bs aside this whole team stinks like all get out from top to bottom! RG really did his job well, not only did he totally dismantle this team he did a better job. He shook this team and our organization and brought it to its knees. RG should be very proud of how he represented the NFL and the powers that be. RG alone has changed the face of the NFC south with his unprecedented fines and punishment. And along with it changed the entire face of the NFL. But with all that being said I still am very disappointed with the Saints as a whole, from the coaching staff to the players. My god this team reeks from the top down. And it all mostly due in thanks to our grand wonderful commish. Well, not much to add to that rant but hell we got GB next week! ROCK ON SAINTS........ Lets get (her) done

this is probably what it's gonna be like for a while. At least this season.

Now, It would be very great if we could turn it around. But shite happens, and a lot of it this year. Brees just needs to stay healthy, Coach needs to come back and i have faith he and our GM will do a better job than any of us could do.

People are overlooking the biggest difference here from last season to this season & that is no Sean Payton.

Payton's attention to every small detail from protections, game planning, play calling & in game adjustments are being sorely missed.

This offense looks nothing like the last several years under Payton. Payton made it a point to run the ball & chip block DE's whenever Drew would begin to get harassed. Carmichael has done none of that.

The offense has showed the lack of creativity with multiple formations & personnel groupings which has become a stable of the offense. Ole Petey doesn't game plan or play call to attack specific opposing defensive players like Payton does. He also forgotten has where the seams are which is Payton's favorite area of the field to attack.
