Knowing the pussy in charge we have in DA, he will absolutely sign off on Gruden joining the team. Naturally once the team sees a real man in charge, they'll flock to him. Dennis will just sit back and watch.

Could be a good thing if league allows it but gruden knows it’s still to soon to be a HC again—he could be the alpha coach the team needs while everyone knows he’s essentially the boss since he can’t actually be the boss.

One can hope and do mental gymnastics like I am…

I'd almost rather have Jay Gruden than Jon Gruden. I feel Jon Gruden may be out of touch w/ being a coordinator.

Are you for real??

Dennis Allen is the head coach of the New Orleans Saints The staff belongs to HIM and if Gruden joins the Saints (Which I am very skeptical about) it will be HIS decision not him "signing off on it".

You people are really losing your minds.

Jon Gruden hasn’t won a playoff game since 2002 and the raiders turned the season around and made the playoffs after he got fired. On top of that, are you sure Cam Jordan and others will want to be coached by someone who got fired for being racist?

Gruden is a has-been. The only reason Saints fans get excited about his name being thrown around is because DA is that bad.

Jon Gruden would be like a Mike Ditka hire.

Gruden is not the answer but as we’ve seen from people on this board it’s enough to build up hope and get season tickets renewed. If people on this board buy into the Gruden hire and then complain when we have a shitty season- just know lot of people here told you so.

If they let Gruden run the offense and the team comes out next year with a dominating offensive performance and the defense can match it...I'm fine with that.

Do I think that will happen? Probably not. At some point, players not liking and not respecting their head coach will catch up to the team at some point.

You mean when the backup QB in a blowout win completely ignores the play call to do what he wants and it becomes a national sports talking point? I mean its already caught up to the team but Mickey doesn’t want to see it.

I only want Gruden bc he's helping DA.

Gruden wouldn't crack my top 15 for head coaches.

BUT, my fear of having Gruden here to help DA is we will get the CSP treatment from the NFL. AKA more NO CALLS!!!

I was more commenting on if they brought in Gruden then suddenly found success.

Winning cures everything, but at the end of the day players no respecting the coach (to do something like you just said) will eventually bite them in the arse regardless of winning.
