Drew Brees is the greatest player to wear the Saints' uniform. The mere fact that he won a Super Bowl for a franchise that had been one of the worst in the history of the NFL speaks volumes. It is true that like many other athletes Brees stayed in the game too long, but he should be remembered as one of the better quarterbacks to play the game. Thank you, Mr. Brees for all that you have done; the Hall of Fame awaits you.

These last couple years he obviously was not the same drew but we finally had a defense to help. From 2013-3017 he deserved so much more with how good he was. It’s criminal that the saints had the worst defense in the Nfl year in and year out. Such a terrible ending last night but I still can’t believe the ride is over. We’ve been so spoiled for the last 15 years.

He is the Greatest Saint of all-time.

Let's not talk about his Playoff Legacy. Let's just honor a Great New Orleans Saints player.

We could be very good next year, but Loomis will have to be very creative with the salary cap. Winston will have to grow up and play to his potential. Sorry, Taysom is not the answer at QB.

Brees is one of the best NFL players ever to don a uniform, much less a Saints’ uniform. Whether you like him or not following his comments this off-season, Brees comes across as a good guy and a good family man.

I’m not even particularly a fan of the Saints, but Brees and the Saints were exciting and fun to watch and brought us all many, many great games and moments. As an outsider, the narrative I see is that Brees did a lot for and accomplished a lot for the city of New Orleans.

This game does not and will not define his legacy.

Neither is Winston. Or he’d have never been run off from TB.

No debating Brees is the GOAT Saint and an NFL great. Just wish he’d have said goodbye under better circumstances and had an exit worthy of how great he truly has been on and off the field.

I’ll add it’s also criminal he had to go out to a 3000 person superdome. I can’t even imagine what the atmosphere would have been like last night if it was a normal game. Would have been truly wild

Sadder still is it didn’t sound/look like there was even 300 in the dome when the game ended. People left, understandably.
But yeah, a full house would have been special.

Where were they going? To be the traffic? Pathetic.
