With the 1st pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Cleveland Browns select Sam Darnold, QB, USC.
The new "football" regime at Browns HQ begins their tenure with a pick at QB that is the most professional and the most clutch in this draft. A lot of people are trying to overthink this pick. Darnold is the safest pick in this draft at QB, and a good fit for Cleveland. That's really all there is to it. This has been the pick for a while - anything else we heard was just the media click hunting.
