So you think Arians is a better head coach or quarterback coach than Payton? Tell me how that worked out for him out in AZ outside of the years where he had Palmer (another really good QB.)

Are you the guy that still doesn't understand what losing possession of the ball is? He dropped the ball dude. Maybe he got lucky that he or a teammate recovered it, but he SHOULDN'T have dropped it in the first place.

I personally feel Arians is an overrated coach that hit a fluke Super Bowl, like many other coaches have before him. Gets too much credit. He was an idiot coach all season that ran his mouth like a dumbass. The thing that saved him is that everything fell in place and bounced for them. He probably would have been fired had they failed. Arians can't develop anyone. All he does is go from team to team that are close but are missing that one piece. With the Colts the team was already built and wasn't even his. In Arizona, they were missing a QB. In Tampa they were missing leadership and consistency. With Tampa's dysfunction a guy like Winston had no chance. Not saying he will become anything in New Orleans but I like my chances better with Payton developing Winston than that mouth breather Arians.

Yet y’all are the one doubting Taysom the starter when they don’t want to give jameis any more money than last year plying No. 3

I think most of us are realist.
Drew was not Drew before he got to New Orleans. He came in with a chip on his injured shoulder because Marty Schottenheimer, who coached guys like Dave Kreig, Bernie Kosar and Joe Montana, had released him.
Winston is uber talented. Probably the most physically gifted QB the Saints have ever had. His issues have been his maturity and decision making.
He turned 27 this year. Hopefully the maturity is happening.
As for decision making, he was the first pick to a bad team that has gone through multiple coaches and offensive coordinators and was thrown to the wolves early and often. He has sat the bench for a year with a coach who is good at tutoring QBs. Hopefully he has learned to make better decisions and learned not to be a hero and protect the ball. And hopefully he has a chip on his shoulder to motivate him as well.
If so, then he could be MVP level great. Wahoo!!!
If not, he’s better than Mariota or anyone else we could realistically get.
Bottom line is you don’t know how he will turn out but you’ve decided to make stupid thread after stupid thread until you have turned most posters into Winston cheerleaders. If that’s your play here, bravo! If not, stop spamming the board with crap posts.

I'm not melting. I'll just cheer for a franchise who's lead man doesn't molest women.

Go ahead. No one cares regardless.

Ok. I don’t think he’s the guy, but 1 year 12 mill is not a commitment.
And Inwould move in from 50% of the QBs in the NFL for Tom Brady right now

This guy has made like 10 anti Winston posts...
Posted on 3/15/21 at 10:11 pm to boudinman
quote:
Seeing that Bruce Arians has coached the likes of Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, Andrew Luck and Carson Palmer,
Many of the QBs in their first year under Arians threw their career high in interceptions
quote:
Bring in Tom Brady and they win the Superbowl.
The Bucs offense came alive after the bye week and Arians gave over the offense to Brady.
quote:
Sean Payton has coached one great QB for 15 years, and now he's going to fix Winston's issues after Bruce Arians could not?
Sean Payton is a better coach than Arians.
