that brass band who plays in the stands during the game

I sit in the lower terrace, and there is a very small brass band (4-5 people) that comes to each section and plays during the game. Before I get into my rant, I will say that I am sure they are nice people. They are very friendly and always are having fun. And if any of you from that band are on this board and reading this, I do not mean this as a slight towards you. With that said....
Who the F commissioned these people to play freaking brass music 5 feet away from us, the fans, during the damn football game???????? (by the number of ? I put there, you can tell I am not happy). I mean, seriously, I do not pay that much money every year to go see 4 people blowing horns!!!!! It wouldn't be as bad if they would only play when the game is not in progress (time outs, end of quarter, change of poss), but this is not the case. There will be a play going on and I am completely distracted by the screeching sound of the second line in my freaking ear!!!! I absolutely HATE distractions while watching my Saints. This is the reason that I live by my rule of never watching an away game at bars and such, and there can never be more than 5 people in a given area for me to watch the game in a crowd. Too many distractions!
This has got to be done away with. Why not give them a section away from the stands to toot their horns? This way people who pay to go see them can park their shitters in front of them there and not bother the rest of us who show up for one reason only, to see the flippin game.
Ok, I'm done. Feel free to agree, disagree or call me an a-hole; it's all good to me. I'm just curious who else here has the same problem I do with this..... and who doesn't.

You are an a-hole. Which is fine because I am too. I don't mind when they hit our section. Another unique thing about N.O. I would guess you don't see that at any other NFL stadiums.

I heard they're playing a special tribute to Urlacher's mom this weekend

Playing while the game is going on would be very uncool.

Yeah, I much prefer stadiums that play nothing but cookie cutter piped in crap like ACDC and Ozzy.
Die in a fire.

yup. I am alright with them playing while the game is not in action, but during the game is annoying

I actually prefer when they play Pantera, but yes, I agree. Aggressive music is ideal for a football game. Now here's where you are wrong in your assessment..... I am not complaining about the piped in music that is played; I am, however, taking issue with a 5 piece brass band standing 5 feet away from me blaring their horns in my ear while Brees is throwing a seem pass to Graham. Sorry, but that play is what I am paying to see, not a brass band. Wait until a time out or something, and everything would be fine

They have been playing as long as I can remember going to games. Part of tradition. Doesn't bother me.

I dig the band. They only come around once a game anyway. We're New Orleans, I think it fits us. Have a beer & relax.

They play for about 45 second in each section douchbag. Find something else to bitch about.

You're a pussy. Bet you think this makes you an uber saints fan.

I don't mind them.
They come around once a game and give the old black ladies and young children something to dance to and be entertained.
I am a man. And as a man I have been given this very awesome gift of being able to tune out EVERYTHING around me. I can watch the Saints game in a chuckie cheese filled with retarded 8 yr. olds and not notice they are there. I can zone in on every play and not hear the 30 min. speech from my girlfriend about how lazy I am.
You are a man... a midget hating man, but a man none the less. use this gift.

first off, I literally at your post. nice one. and I fixed your statement there to be more accurate. I have never been married, so I have not been able to hone my tune-out skills. I will get my mini-gf to start hating football and help me work on this ability. thanks for the intel

Oh.. so it's like a marching death squad with ranks full of midgets? I figured it was a death squad of everyday folk that went after midgets.
Sorry for the confusion

Have I? For what? Your analogies are totes hilarious bruh.
It doesn't make you any cooler or any better of a Saints fan because you don't like distractions during a game, quit exaggerating to try to seem like the number one greatest, most awesome, super, amazing, radical fanatical fan!

quite. I guess I need to clarify. I don't have an issue with the band playing in the stands; I take issue with them playing while the game is going on. I am into every play on the field, and I don't like the distraction while I am trying to pay attention. I can listen to my walkman if I wanted to hear music while the players are playing.
but it's apparent that I am in the minority on this one. I can accept that, but it will still annoy me.

maybe I should change my screen name to have a saints' player's name in it with one of his body parts. that is what makes one a great uber number one radical fan
