Really fast and shifty player. Hard to guard someone that can change direction like him.

I believe our WR unit needs to be improved for numerous reasons. First, from a pure depth standpoint we are prison-raped if either Colston or Moore goes down for an extended period of time. Second, we have lost some serious speed lately with RM and DH. It's my opinion that the inability to stretch the field lately was part of the reason for Brees' increase in INTs this past season. Some of the windows he was throwing into were insanely tight.

Beautifully stated.

The only thing I really remember from that game was a Mathieu strip and a ton of passing yards by WV

Yeah they threw for over 400 I believe but we forced turnovers and ran it down their throat.

-Morgan made a dynamic play that made it on Sportscenter. That's all we need on the outside. Not a priority position to address despite no deep threat behind him.

I like the sarcasm. We definitely need to upgrade. Actually, I don't even like Colston being a #1 to be honest but he produces. He just needs some help.

quote:

-Lance Moore is garbage. He only moves chains, knows what Brees is thinking, and only has reliable hands. But he can't score in one play.

Lance more is like the Cajun Wes Welker. Little slower drawl, likes drinking beer and spicy crawfish. Just so happen, not alot of people like all those put together. I've been critical of Moore, he is what he is. A good #4-5 option in this offense.

quote:

-Sproles is an explosive playmaker, but we should let some of his touches to go to another explosive playmaker so they can score the same amount of points on a TD. That's a prioirty!

I don't know what people want from this guy. His wheels will fall off eventually. He'll be 30 in August and for some reason once a player hits 30, I feel like they've begun a slow decline to death.

Tavon single-handedly kept WVU in the game. It wasn't Geno. It was Tavon all over the field. Been impressed with him ever since.

Point is, I'm not knocking his talent. I'm saying the Saints already recognize he would only bring what Moore & Sproles already bring. It would be a luxury, not a need.

Need is bringing in a guy with size & speed to compete with Joe Morgan for Henderson's vacated spot. While Tavon can spot-playmake on the outside, SP would never start him consistently on the outside. So if Morgan goes down, the Saints are really screwed. So that's a priority.

Tavon doesn't have Steve Smith game. He has Percy Harvin's game. Not a priority, just a luxury.

both black, dreads, fast, decent size, eerily similar production, questionable hands and both will run you over when drunk.

@gregcosell: If NFL is passing/space league, why is WVU Austin not top 10 pick. Most explosive playmaker in draft. Can align anywhere. Matchup nightmare.

Because teams want Megatrons and Julio Joneses in the top picks at WR

Not so much DeSean Jacksons I'd speculate.

Didn't read the thread, had to be derailed to make 8 pages.

The Should We? Rule- To start a thread suggesting a player to be acquired the poster is required to make a case for the player. How would he fit in the scheme? How could he be afforded? How he would be prioritized in the draft or traded for, etc.
quote:

Of course def is priority, but I would love to have this guy in our offense

Fits right in with the get Mike Wallace idea.
