Pdaddy, I have played football both HS and college, it's called NFL speed, Bush simply can't outrun most.

Seriously?

To date, Bush has not been run down when he has been at full speed.

I'm not saying he's the fastest guy in the NFL...but he's in the conversation...especially in pads.

then you haven't been watching the films my friend, he get's in open field on some runs and is quickly run down, only when he's in front the pack does he score, which is what he should do.

Nevermind. I just realized that you are the guy that believes Colston is not physical enough.

I bet it's interesting watching football through your eyes though. If only Peyton Manning processed information a bit faster and was a little more accurate. And, It's a shame that Marino had such a slow release. He would have been one of the best. And, that damn Barry Sanders was overrated playing with all that talent over the years.

he got run down yesterday because before he got to full speed the defender was already at full speed and had the angle on him. 49ers game two years ago, bears playoff game. when he doesnt have to cut, hes going to out run most people.

Usain Bolt would get run down by most NFL Defenses. You gotta have more than just speed to play w/ the big boys. They are pretty fast too!!!

your right money g, because if you realize that, then you would realize I have played football, but if you want to be a smartass and side with your mentally challenged comrades that's fine. I know sports and what I'm telling you is the real deal, listen to the Lester Earls and SloFloPros, resident idiots of the site because of their posts, that's what ya'll do anyway. Bush if he get's in front of most NFL defense should outrun them, but we know that's not the case.

Dude, I'm not going to argue with an idiot that says Bush "simply can't outrun most".

I'm going to let you stand on that comment and let everyone evaluate you based on it (fyi, they'll think you are an idiot).

My take is that Bush has a lot of talent and still and as yet untapped potential. His speed and athleticism make him a constant threat to break a big one as he did Sunday. But I also agree he's not a very good pure RB; his below average ypc compared to his teammates indicates he does not use his blockers well. He'll may never be an Adrian Peterson type who can carry his team, but is a perfect weapon with Payton and the Saints where they can set him up with mismatches, etc. To say he's a bust though is ridiculous.

You seem to care.

And, while you aren't very good at evaluating what's happening on the football field, you have accurately summed up how most will judge you on this board...as an idiot. So, at least you have that going for you.

All i can say is that i do not agree with this notion that he gets chased down from behind by most everyone... I dont feel like lookin it up but i believe he was a legit 200m and 100m sprinter at on point. People get good angles on bush because he dances around so much before he gets into the open field, not because he isnt fast or a homerun theat...
I mean why get on this board and boast about a vast knowledge on nfl speed, and then say that college football was where the knowledge comes from...? Look what reggie did at usc... One of the most dynamic players to ever play... You dont draft slow guys in first round.. especially not second...

He doesn't get run down from behind once he is behind a defense. The whole Bears secondary and linebackering corp found that out. But he does consistently get run down sideline to sideline, everybody does.
