Hard say obviously going low to take his feet out and keep him in bounds. When he lowers his head he loses track of Diggs. He thinks Diggs' momentum will continue in the same direction but Diggs goes up more than he continues his angled direction. Missed timing and head down, combined with taking the legs out and not extending his arms to "capture" him caused the problem.

10 seconds and no TOs needing a huge play to get in FG range that D was inexcusable. Rush 3, 3 deep safeties, at most one guy in middle of field maybe around 50 yard line, and other 4 covering mid/deep sidelines
Obviously MW should have made the play, but 1 dude behind WR missing and nobody else to make a tackle in that situation is retarded. Crawley was playing more shallow, dude was guarding a 5-10 yard out route when they needed much more than that

No excuse, but with the ridiculous PI calls the Saints had go against them earlier in that game, I think he was so worried about not getting there early he totally screwed up the play.

He was a top 5 free safety that’s what he was doing here.

This was exactly what Payton & Allen said. There was a TO before the play, and they said the conversation the entire time was to avoid the PI
