Still an EPIC Season for the Saints.

First NFC South team to win four Division Titles in a row.
First NFC South team to sweep the ENTIRE division in the Regular Season.
Won a Playoff Game.
That's still an EPIC season and a list of accomplishments that every NFL team would be proud of.
This is the truth and nobody can dispute this.
But, from here on out, for the rest of this season, it is:
GO PACK GO !

Only one team out of 32 wins the SB. The measure of having a great team and a great list of accomplishments is more than just winning a SB.

This wasn't a super bowl team. We had a super bowl caliper defense, but our offense was hit or miss. Montgomery rushed for over 100 yards behind our offensive line and Payton failed to recognize our identity as a run first offense. He is the reason we don't win in the post season. Run the ball and stop the run still gets you far in this league, but he can't accept that.

not really.... we all knew what was on the line for this team, this season... it was a Super Bowl or bust, and unfortunately, they picked a terrible night to have one of their worst games of the season...

and that's great and all, but this season is still wasted, like many other while we had Brees....some of that "waste" is our fault, some of it not... he should have had at least 2 more rings, but alas, he doesn't and now we go into the long, dark night post-Brees... just hoping the sun comes sooner rather than later, but there's no telling how long we may have to way to get back to this level of success, or If we ever do...
