It was a late hit definitely. Not super late, but late nonetheless. I can't remember correctly but i think its what.... 2 steps you can take after the ball is released, Brees was staring down the receiver... He was late. Now it wasn't a vicious hit and I don't think a fine would have been necessary, but he literally puts his head down into Brees..... If he drops a shoulder i would assume he doesn't get a fine
