I don’t remember this going on during last years draft

“At last year's draft, the Cowboys and New Orleans Saints talked about a deal involving Scandrick and safety Kenny Vaccaro, but neither team pulled the trigger. The Saints continue to have a need for a cornerback and could go after Scandrick again.”

Seems like he’d be expensive as a 3rd/4th corner.

Would rather Ken continue to develop

I mean as a 4th CB and depth for a reasonable deal? Sure

We need to bring him in and give him a reasonable amount of time to convince the team he deserves a larger contract.

As a 4th corner, sure.

Can't convince me he's better than either Robinson or Crawley. Definitely not better than Lattimore

He isn’t better than PJ Williams either.

So possibly before we picked Lattimore we were discussing Scandrick? And now we have PRob. I'd say things changed and even then it seemed like we rather roll with KV last year than do the trade since it didn't happen.

I just said I was unaware of that discussion last year.

I'd rather both PJ and Moore, and even Breaux if he comes back at the 4th option over Scandrick.

I was addressing the subject in the post. Didn't mean it to sound like I was addressing you.

I'd rather save money and take a risk on a high upside with Breaux. If he is healthy and in shape he could end up starting ahead if Crawley and Robinson. No way Scandrick does that.

If we signed Scandrick, who is 31 years old, it would be as a backup Slot CB to Patrick Robinson, who is also 31 years old. So it doesn't make sense either from a financial POV or from a developmental POV.

I actually like where we are right now at CB with Lattimore, Crawley, Robinson, PJ Williams, and somebody young at the 5th corner, like Justin Hardee or Art Maulet. I believe we also still have Sterling Moore, Devante Harris and Bradley Sylve under contract so depth is pretty good.

A healthy Delvin Breaux is a starter in this league. I would rather him on a friendly deal than virtually anyone else on the market at this point.

Cowboy fans couldn't wait to get rid of this guy. He's terrible so please do not hype this up.

A hurt Breaux > Scandrick and that's not a joke.
